My car is having an issue. Can anybody help? When I turn the key to the start position the motor will crank over but not start. On the other hand I can push start it and it will run with no problems. The catch is that this is an intermitted problem although it has progressively gotten worse over the last few months. I was told that it might be the inition switch so I changed it but that did not seem to help. Any ideas?

new or old DME relay ? Those things can be odd like that ?

Could be a bad ignition switch.
Mine failed about 7 years ago. I could get my car to start and fire up, but as soon as I let up on the key and it went to the "run" position everything died.
So I just wired my own ignition switch. One for run and a 50 amp momentary to turn over the starter.
