Feburary was the month of new track records.  While most of the country is dealing with snow, Arizona and So-Cal racers gear up for perfect racing weather.  Cool air temperatures and bright sunshine bring the best possible time to run fast.  Charlie Buzzetti and Rich Geisler both took advantage to run some fast laps.

Thanksgiving is always a time of family final event of the NASA Arizona season is just more of the same.  10 944 spec cars took the green flag for the sprint race offering of the annual thanksgiving enduro weekend.

Sending 4 drivers (Dave Royce, Ray Freundt, Neal Agran, & Eric Kuhns) who have never seen a track in a car with an untested configuration was pretty ambitious, but with much support from Nick & Dennis at Bennington Motorsports, we not only finished, but made the podium in E2 and finished at the top 1/3 overall. Not bad for a first major enduro effort.

This was NorCal's second year using the Porsche at the Point event as their featured CASH race with over $3,200 in combined cash,contingencies and prizes.

The sun was setting to the south of the Wasatch mountains on Miller Motorsports Park in Utah.  This was my first entry in a national championship race.  It took months of preparation, considerable expense and a two day drive from San Diego to tow my 944 Spec Porsche to the national championship race.  Now the sun was also setting on my chances of being in that championship race.
