It was the best start to any race season that I could ever imagine to hope for. Weather was beautiful from a low of around 40 degrees in the morning to an afternoon high of probably 70 degrees. The debut of car #38 to join the 944 Spec Racing group performed really well. Didn't have any mechanical problems and I stayed clean for both races.

Ekquist Racing Enterprises is a full service trailer dealer in Rock Falls, Illinois, about 2 hours west of Chicago. Ekquist will be sponsoring a new "longest tow" contingency for each of the Midwest races, and will be doubling this contingency for the National 944 Spec event at Miller Motorsports Park to be held Father's Day weekend in 2008. Ekquist Racing will contribute a total of $500 over the course of the season. The 944 Spec racer towing the greatest distance to each event will receive $50 towards gas, or $100 at the Miller event.
