Saturday was spent in Comp School for most of the drivers, during qualifying Dirks was able to beat the track record but it only counts if you do it in the race DK.  After numerous standing and flying starts We all went to the comp school race to make it the Main event for the 944-SPEC racers!

During the main race it was GREAT to see 15 944-SPEC cars take to the track!

#43 Micah Thompson Won $50 from CDOC for his 10th place finish.

#96 Dave Wright was the $75 winner / DartAuto.com hard charger for passing 6 cars during the race.

#2 Chris Venturini won $75 from DartAuto and $25 from Toyo for his 5th place finish.

#22 Weston Pawlowski in 4th won $50 from Toyo.

#44 Doug Grande won $75 from CDOC and $75 from Toyo for 3rd.

#76 Dave Dirks (the 2007 regional champion) took home second and $100 from CDOC and $100 from Toyo.

And the Big winner on Saturday was the 2006 regional champion Chuck Taylor!   $100 from DARTAUTO.com , $150 from CDOC and $150 from Toyo .

We were also proud to bring on a new sponsor in the Rocky Mountain region of 944-SPEC .  Precision Mobile Detailing!  Geoff Shilling will be giving away on exterior detailing to the "Dirty Racer"  of the weekend!

For this weekend The Dirty Racer award goes to the #32 of Bruce Bell!  The video nearly says it all but I will set it up for you ...  Coming out of Turn 3 Bruce goes off track to the right then comes shooting back accross the track in front of 6 cars!  If that's not enough the dirt and smoke behind his car makes it impossible for us behind him to see through it.  Michelle Dirks says, "It was just like Days of Thunder " or maybe it was me who said that!
