Saturday Race

On the start, Jim came flying up to 2nd , getting side by side with Greg going into Turn 3.  Greg dropped a wheel off in 3 and almost spun in 3a trying to keep Jim behind.  Then it was Jim, Greg, Rick and Sid. 

Jim was harrasing the back of the 911 field for the first lap.  Greg almost went off in 10 trying to keep up with Jim.  By the end of lap 2 Jim had a 10 car length lead on Greg with Rick trailing.  End of lap 3, Rick passes Greg under braking for 11 and starts the chase after Jim.

Three laps later and a lot of getting lapped by the really fast PRC GTL cars, Rick catches Jim and starts to harrass him, sticking his nose inside in the brake zone for 11, then trying the outside pass in Turn 1.  Jim started to get loose, but no big mistakes. 

Another close one in 11 under braking with Jim defending and Rick trying the outside in line. 

No luck, another try at the outside pass in Turn 1, still no mistakes from Jim.  Jim locks up going into 7, but stays on line.  In turn 9 with a bit less than one lap to go (Rick thought it was more than a lap to go but it was already a white flag lap), Rick's dipstick pops up spraying oil on the exhaust and sending plume of smoke out the back and into the cockpit.  Rick quickly pulls off into the pits, game over for him.

Meanwhile behind Rick was Greg and Sid.  Sid really step up his driving and put a gap on Steve with lapping traffic and keeping the leaders within sight to see if they would make any mistakes.

Jerry and Aubie were battling.

Ken in the back still having problems with his car.
