Saturday’s Race:
Tony Heyer of Heyer Performance in the yellow 944 was racing in the PRC sessions, saw us park together and ask if he can run with us by starting at the back. Tony's car is not legal for 944spec so it's a entry fee for a fun run only but we really appreciate the support. This is Bill's home track and he's running 2-3 seconds faster than Aaron and Tim so it's his race to lose. We had a rolling start behind the GTI's and we stayed back just long enough for a group photo shot. As predicted Bill took the lead with Aaron & Tim battling each other. Steve & I were starting our very first race as rookies. I had no illusions of being in contention, I was there for the experience and to just do it. Tony's higher HP car gave Bill a battle and there was some good slicing and dicing. Bill, Aaron, Tim can comment themselves on their battles. I can't remember how many laps we had to go but there was a waving yellow flag going into turn 3. I came around turn 3 under caution and was shock to see Bill's car off the track between 3 and 4 and a oil slick on the track. Bill's car blown a engine. Aaron finished first, Tim second, Steve third and I finished fourth.
