 Sunday’s Race: Aaron vs TimAaron and Tim were less than a second apart in Sunday’s qualifying. I was looking forward to see these racers battle it out.
The sunday race had the 944spec group behind the spec miata’s and in front of the GTI’s for the second green flag. Coming out of the last turn to the front straight I was ready to get a good jump on the flag and was accelerating hard and just upshift to 3rd when Aaron & Tim slowed down to give a bigger separation between us and the miata’s. I had to hit my brakes and just when I did that everyone took off in 2nd and I was caught sputtering in 3rd gear. They put a good 4-5 car lengths on me before turn 1. Another rookie mistake and a lesson learned to make sure it doesn’t happen again.
