24 Hours of LeMons Team Fish out of Water launched their attempt on this wacky race today. Ken Huey and Jerry Whitteridge turned up at Altamont Raceway Friday afternoon to grab a good paddock spot and some test and tune laps.
John from Easy (One of our sponsors for the Spec Series -- Thanks John!) turned up with a van load of spares. As we needed the brake pin clip for one of the front brakes this was useful right from the begining.
We are pitted with another 944 from Santa Cruz who ran the summer Lemons too -- hence the body rearrangement.
The track is a couple of joined ovals that can make up a road course. Some Banking on the ovals and some real off camber stuff as you cross the banking. It's going to be interesting.
Tech and the Judges were interesting as they quizzed the details of the car to ensure it met the rules (less than $500). |
