NorCal had four CASH race weekends in 2007 with $4,200 in direct cash payouts. In addition there were the Toyo dollar contingencies for every race weekend and the door prizes of Napa Valley wine and other special merchandises. Every 944-Spec racer that participated in a NorCal race were also eligible to the year-end prize table value at over $4,200 and guaranteed a prize. Congratulations to Greg Brandeau who won the race series in the Dinoco #43 car to become the NorCal 2007 944-Spec champion.
Each NorCal 944-Spec race counts as a ticket to the year-end prize table, if you raced 12 times then you would received 12 tickets for the prize drawing. The ticket drawing only determines the position in the prize table selection, who will be selecting first, who will be selecting second, etc. Obviously the more races you ran the more tickets you would have and the higher your odds are at selecting first. Once a driver's name has been drawn, the rest of his tickets would be voided. This guarantees a prize to every racer. The year-end prize drawing was held at the NASA awards banquet dinner, Saturday November 17th 2007 at the Irish Cultural Center in San Francisco. There were ten NorCal 944-Spec race participants in 2007 and ten prizes on table.
