Ken -

I'm going to stop these two at the gate.

I see no functional difference in restricting motors by a plate vs. a muffler, except that the plate is cheap, and predictable in how it restricts power & TQ.

Let me repeat that what you proposing with 13.6.6 is already illegal

Muffler was a bad choice. But do you understand my intent and where I'm going with this??

I understand your intent, Ken. It just doesn't need a rule. Unlike GTS, there is not much to be gained by manipulating this - the TQ curve is already near optimal, and we regulate max TQ.

I am proposing the following changes:
1) Inlet Air - Use of left turn signal in bumper. Using the stock location or fog lamp location does little for performance but fills up the air filter with rubber and sand. It is not about "ram air", but protecting my motor.
2) Allow use of Lexan for side windows. This would allow the installation of a naca duct. Even with a cool suit, I need air flow. Being in the south, our cars easily exceed 110+ inside the car. Cost to replace my windows using one small sheet from Lowes, $20 (low cost)
3) Removal of spare tire well regardless of year of vehicle, the ease of removing a transaxle is worth it. Allow sheet metal to be placed over the opening, identical to how we cover the air intake in the front.

Tater

1) Is already up on the proposal list. I'll take it as a yes vote.

2) I'll add this to the list again this year.

3) I'll add this to the list.

With this, I'm going to close down suggestions. I'll leave the other thread open for comments for one week, then we've got to move on this to get the new rules out.

Proposals:
- Oil pan windage tray
These are cheap and greatly limit the oil aeration which is a factor in rod bearing bearing failures. There is little if any difference in performance only longetivity. This would be optional but allowed.

- Crank Scraper
Like the windage tray this helps to return the oil to the sump without being aerated and increasing the oil available at the sump. This would add longetivity and would be optional.
