Ron emailed me yesterday and said he was going also.

That is great. I am sure Rick is not going to miss this one. I have included him in the race so we will have a full 7 car field, which is our largest to date.

OK. Besides Greg and Rick, who else have driven Thunderhill in the reverse direction? This race is going to be really interesting, especially for me because Rick said there is really no place to make a clean pass so qualifying is very important. Guess I can't skip out on the morning warmups this time.

It'll be a new track for most of us.
Turn 5 is now really a "Dukes of Hazzard" ramp. They were showing all the cars going airborne thru it at the awards dinner last year.
The last turn (normal Turn 1) should be interesting. It's now a very fast downhill right hander. It'll be a big penalty for anyone that overcooks it because of the close proximity of pit wall.

I've driven it in reverse a couple of times. Pay attention to the turn in at 5 (I've always gone over the top there - not sure how NASA runs it). Turn 1, as Ken mentioned, has the pit wall to be careful of. People spin coming out of 11 getting on the power too fast.

Look at GGR Handbook - TH Clockwise for turn descriptions.
