SCCA just posted a R888 setup guide for spec miatas and the big surprise is they are recommending really low cold pressures. They reckon 32psi for a SM which is about 25 cold. Figure the 944 is 200lbs heavier so 35psi hot or 28 cold?

They are recommending 2.5 front camber and 3.0 rear. Anyone tried any of this. I'm heading to Road America at the weekend and was wondering about changing my setup.

Personally, I would change over to nitrogen in your tires. it exhibits much lower heat-expansion pressures. Where as compressed air in tires displays a 6-8 lb pressure difference from cold to hot, Nitrogen usually only has 2-3 psi differential (and usually closer to the 2psi!) I'll be at RA this weekend, with a full nitrogen set up, we can pull a vacuum on your tires to completely evacuate them and fill them with Nitrogen if you like, then you gan give it a shot!
