Hi Gary,
If you are running your catalytic converter and a muffler, it should be quiet enough for Laguna. I think if you gut out the cat, then you might need the pre-muffler and the muffler to pass the sound meter at Laguna.

I will have my 88' 944 out this weekend with no catalytic converter but keeping the pre-muffler and a Magnaflow muffler. You can see how loud this is. I will find out too because I am having the cat removed this week.

I've got a gutted cat and standard muffler. No sound issues and I think it is almost too quiet.

Good to see you there. Glad you could make it out and thanks for posting some of the pictures. It was a really fun race weekend and you should have asked me to fire up my 88' 944 so you could hear the exhaust without a cat. See you soon.

I just had my cat cut out and put in a magnaflow bullet muffler...and it sounds pretty much stock. At high rpms it gets a little 'tinny' sounding...butthat's it. I thought it would be loud. I actually wish it was louder! lol
Too bad Sid couldn't get a few more cars for Laguna Seca next month!

Doesn't sound as loud as you guys to me, but still not sure how loud is too loud for Laguna. It has a intact cat with a loud muffler and a 4" turn down tip.
