The CCR says the seat must be attached to a steel floor with reinforcements. What reinforcement is required? I've seen were people have welded in steel brackets to bolt the seats to and I've seen people bolt the fixed mounts to the factory mount points with 6mm bolts and I've seen people use sliders.

Many cars pass tech bolting into the OEM mounting locations. On the early cars (pre 85.5), the bolt sizes and floorpan structure are pretty weak. THe late cars are better, though both benefit from some further reinforcement. Hanksville Hotrods sells a very nice kit to reinforce this area.

Thanks. It is an 83 and doesn't look very sturdy. the stock seats used 6mm bolts. I'll look into Hanksville Hotrods or make something.
