Hi all,
I had a question asked of me the other day, and I wasn't sure the response. Are both the Eastern and Western States Championships considered national championship races? So, in other words, are there two national champions for each class every year, excepting someone winning both East and West? Since I am new to NASA in the last two years, I didn't have an answer for them. Can anyone please provide clarity?

That is correct. NASA decided to split Nationals in an effort to attract more competitors while hopefully lessening the amount of travel for many.
