Hi, I'm new to this forum and I would like to build/run a 944 Spec car. Is Paragon Products a good business? I ordered their Suspension Package - 944 SPEC 2 - Koni kit ($1689.98) two months ago and haven't seen anything. They seem to have poor communications. Can't wait any longer.

What are some names of good reliable parts stores for Koni, adj. swaybars, coilover kits and other performance 944 parts?

Also what is the best year car to have for the 944 Spec?

Thanks, Randall

Paragon have a well deserved good reputation in the 944 world. You should not have any qualms in dealing with them. If there has been a problem with your order (and is sounds like there has been) give them a call. They are in Texas and normal business hours apply.

Their contacts (if you don't already have them) are:

Paragon Products, Inc
5602 Old Brownsville Rd
Corpus Christi, TX 78417

I can think of no one better to go to for 944 parts. Jason at Paragon is the man. Im sure if you gave them a call they would do their best to rectify the situation

I have worked with Paragon for almost 10 years and have found thier customer service to be excellent. Call them.

I wonder if it could be that the Koni's are back ordered nationwide. I do remember hearing that.

As for the best car to have for 944 spec results over 7 years has never shown a clear advantage to any year car. One reason for this that all parts can be swapped from any year to any year. So buy a good chassis and go from there. There are preferences some drivers have for certain years, but this comes down to build ease, familiarity, and what "other parts cars" some guys run.

My personal preference is for 83-85 944 and 924S. Mostly because they are the easist fit for parts for my 84 chassis. Currently my 84 chassis has parts from 83, 84, 87 and 88 because those are the years of parts cars that I have.

maybe I'm misreading your post. You bought a Spec suspension package before you have a car?
