944 Spec Midwest has another new Cash sponsor!



Ekquist Racing Enterprises is a full service trailer dealer in Rock Falls, Illinois - about 2 hours west of Chicago. Ekquist will be sponsoring a new "longest tow" contingency for each of the Midwest races, and will be doubling this contingency for the National 944 Spec event at Miller Motorsports Park to be held Father's Day weekend in 2008. Ekquist Racing will contribute a total of $500 over the course of the season. The 944 Spec racer towing the greatest distance to each event will receive $50 towards gas, or $100 at the Miller event.

Midwest 944 Spec Director Eric Kuhns purchased an H&H light car hauler from Ekquist two years ago, and has been very pleased with its price, performance, and light weight. Doug & Robin Hillman for VFC Engineering have committed to putting up $400 per weekend for contingecy money at Midwest events next year. This is straight cash, not discounts/certificates/coupons, for Spec class cars. We only need 4 cars next year at any event to make this happen.

VFC will be at each NASA Midwest event this year, and will be 944 Spec Midwest's Title Sponsor

Doug at VFC will be building at least 4 944 Spec cars over the winter, with 2 of them avialable for rent. He will also assist you in any parts of your own build that you need help in (e.g. custom cage, etc.). VFC is also available for trackside support. Much of that money will be go to getting racers out to the track, not just to those who podium - $100 for at least the 1st 5 racers to sign up, $50 for the "longest tow," etc, so get your car race legal, and get paid to race! Donor 944's can be had for $2K or less, turn key "new" racecars for 12-14K, fully developed. Guys have built their own cars to a compettitve level for under 8K. This is inexpensive, and equal Porsche racing at it's finest, and now with CASH to sweeten the deal! Let's Race!
