Thanks. I got the caps off the spring plates and started to drill my holes in the quarter panels until the battery in my drill went dead.

Tomorrow will do a little more, but I have to get my truck lettered up.

Here is my welding job on my new torsion bars:

Race car lost 26lbs. today.
Removed:

A/C Condenser
Charcoal Canister in L/F wheel well
Front Bumper pads
Horns
Inner Fender Liners

Power window motors and such will be next.
With that, and losing another 10 gallons of fuel should put me close to the 130lbs. I needed to lose.

You may want to keep the wheel well liners. I have seen discusions and can vouch to keep the drivers side liner to keep bits of rubber out of the air filter container. I also have my external oil cooler in front and above the passenger side wheel well.

Thanks for the tips, however, I am not running the stock air box nor do I have an external oil cooler.

Most of the racers our west are running either an after market oil cooler (Setrab, etc.) or a 961 (Model?) external oil cooler. It really helps the engine run cooler and well lubricated.
Others may chime in.
