Ok latest update is that I got my updated quote from Hank for the cage and should be placing an order very soon.

I am in the process of getting the seat mount finished. It will allow for about 2" of adjustment in 1" increments. Tying it into the sill and tunnel. Been welding the basic frame...until a part on the welder went tango uniform. Part just arrived so will get back at it.

Went ahead and installed the Simspon nomex shift boot and getting the pedals reinstalled.

designed and fabbed a small fiberglass shield for the air intake and screened in the turn signal opening. putting a dual 3" duct behind the D/S fog lamp opening for brake cooling. The P/S opening will be for oil cooling. Need to fab some better ducting for that.

Coolshirt tank is in place, but need to decide where to place the controller I got cheap.

Took advantage of the sale to get my traqmate (traqdash complete)...then found the one I cross posted in the for sale section...missed deal! so unlike me!

I found a reasonably priced short 5th gear set for the spare trans.

Sloooooowly coming together. Not sure what I am going to do with all the shelf space once the parts on it goes into the car.

Will keep pluggin along as I can....the IH Blue and AC Orange car should be on track next year....maybe by the Jan 28 weekend! Here's hoping.

More parts showing up
Even though I have an aluminium halo seat, I will also be putting in a right side net (Schroth).
Took advantage of another sale and picked up some glowshift gauges for the new fiberglass dash.
2 sets of shaved RA1s ready to mount.

Rebuilt the front calipers and depowering the steering rack.

Rod bearing kit in route and getting ready to send two heads out to be worked.

About ready to hit Hank up for the cage.

Christmas vacation time will be busy!

Seat mount completed...seat is as far back as it will go, but also have 2" of adjustment forward (in 1" increments). (will attach photos shortly)

Cage from Hank ordered! It should show up at our loading dock before we close for the Christmas holidays.
Will be tacking it in, then having a friend from work TIG weld it.

Why do you need gauges and the traqmate dash?
I wouldnt worry about brake ducts too much for now. I ran all season without 'em using Hawk blues and had zero issues with fade or boiling fluid. You just dont use a lot of brakes in these cars, at least not at Texas tracks.

The traqdash will be used for tach/shift lights (lap timing etc) but there are limits on inputs. It can display gauges and warning lights, but I am planning on using the 4 analog inputs specifically for driver data acquisition. Throttle, brakes, steering, wideband are the inputs I intend on using. If I just use one of the binary inputs for brakes, it will free up one analog input.
