So, as some of you may or may not know... I really messed up my #37 at our I-25 Speedway event. Long story short, I drifted into a wall. Damage was bad enough to call it quits for the '88 944. There are huge creases in the dash and passenger side floor board, and more suspension and frame damage. There's a little human body damage too... but hopefully that'll be healed with time.

Instead of trying to band-aid a CURSED car... I found a new one. It's a '84 with a supposed 70k miles. The option sticker is gone, and it looks like it's been re-painted once. It was on CraigsList for $1000, and I picked it up for $650. There's no battery, the seller said the engine is toast, and the wheels are wrong. But, early wheels are pretty easy to find and I guess all my other parts will swap over.

If anyone needs anything off a late car, let me know. I'll be slowly disassembling it when I get the time.

Sorry to hear about your mishap. Get well soon.
As we learn when one of our guys hit a wall, a car is just a car as long as the occupant is alright.
That's a nice color and having a '88 engine and short 5th in a lighter early chassis is a good combination to get down to minimum weight.
