So someone has Fuchs or BBS or what ever . And they want to use them in 944-spec . How about run what ever wheel you want but the weight has to be no less than a cookie. We could measure a cookie with a worn out corded tire on it and set that as the min weight. or new min could be a late PD.

Any added weight has to be on the out side section of the wheel (inside) .

for the no rules changes crowd keep using what you have it's the same. for the fuch group you can run them but add the weight to make them equal.

Despite his fearless leadership, he is not a dictator - this is a suggestion, not a rule .

How would you add weight to the wheels - rings of sticky weights?

Good thinking. Adding weight could be a bit problematic though.

right, just Dave Wright's rule idea I had to put it to words. seems like a good idea to me so you can use what you have and no drawbacks for the current wheels. ?

how to do it ? sticky weights on the inside is what I was thinking. ?

What if the weights come off. Someone could not put the weights on and say they came off. What about the track width rule. I have XYZ rims and they're only 1/4" wider couldn't I run them? I wouldn't change the rim rule. Now everybody has to scramble to find the lightest rims. I can't see why or how rims would make the car/equipment last longer or be more reliable, it only adds cost to racing these 944's. After all is said and done don't we want a low cost very reliable race car?
