TOPIC: Euro 944

Euro 944 11 years, 3 months ago #14983

There's a guy near the DFW area parting out a Euro 944. I know his pistons aren't legal for 944-Spec, but what about his transmission? I don't think he has pulled it from the car yet, so I don't know what the stamping says. I'm having trouble finding info on the euro tranny. I'm just curious if it is same as our 944 transmissions (legal for 944-Spec), or if it is like the 951 tranny.

It looks like the ROW (rest of the world) trans is the same as USA. See clarks-garage.com/ under trans and info for all the code breakdown. Depending on the year, looks like it should also have short 5th which is legal and desirable.

That's exactly what I'm hoping for!

I'm gonna buy it. The only thing is I have to pull it... Oh well, pulling it saves me a little money.

I think he has cookie cutters for sale as well. If anyone is interested in anything else, let me know and I can ask him. He's fair on his pricing.
