Looking through all the race results, it looks like Norm has the new track record for the outer loop with a 2:21.140.

What I think is more impressive is that a total of 11 of the 34 drivers were faster than the previous record of 2:22.005 set by Rick Lofgren last year in the main race.

There were many laps in practice and qualifying that were in the 2:19 range. I think all of these were in the AM sessions. So there is definetly lots of potential new lap records to be set.

You better get back there next year Norm to defend you record and go for the win.

This was a great race and I can't wait to see the full DVD with in car footage.

FYI, track records can be gotten in the qualifying races, if someone had beeten the 221xx, the championship race time would have not been a lap record.

Hope to be back next year for more fun, track records and wins are just a part of the experience, meeting new friends and hangin out is were it's at.

I know it was practice but Joe and charlie both busted 2:20 during sat warmup:

BTW... a 2:21.140 in race is much harder than a 2:19.282 in practice. So good work Norm. I think Dave Dirks ran a 2.21.187 in championship race so dave was flying too.
