Just want to make sure we are using the same size, compound and brand of tire for 2014 for 944 spec.

Yes, and for the next 20 years.
I don't think I could cope with another tire change!

Maybe we should alternate RR on left side and RA1 on right side. Then we would have to buy both tires.

Allow each driver to decide which side to run each two tire set. Introduce some F1 tire strategy???????

I wanted to give you guys an update on the final rules posting. I have been emailing with Will Faules about the proposals, which has been a slow process due to the 25 Hours taking most of his time. All of the propsals save one went through, with a clarification requested on one the other.

The 5 dyno run option was denied by the National office. They felt the added cost, inconsistency/lack of precedent with other rules, and lack of proof of benefit did not meet criteria. We will continue with the 3 dyno run rule as it was.

Will asked that I put a maximum dimension on holes cut for routing cooling (oil/trans coolers, etc.). He wanted more specifics than the "minimum necessary" So there will be a 4" max dimension. The minimum neccessary clause will still be in there to prevent creative racers from swiss cheesing their unibody with 4" holes, and to encourage the smallest amount of modification necessary.

All the other changes were approved. The only remaining issue is try to see if we can get a picture of the "Ken bracket" into the rules for visual clarification. I sent the picture in a few days ago, and am waiting for the final versoin to come back.

All the other rules proposals were accepted.

Happy Holidays!
